This easy chili recipe is just like mom used to make with ground turkey, beans, and a simple homemade blend of chili seasonings.
- ground turkey - onion - green bell pepper - Rotel diced tomatoes - chili powder
Cook the ground turkey meat over medium high heat. Remove from pan in a bowl and set aside.

In the same pot, add more olive oil and sauté the onions. Add green bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, and minced garlic and cook for a couple of minutes

Return the cooked ground turkey to the pot

Add diced tomatoes and green chilies, along with your choice of seasonings and water. Stir everything together.

Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer. Let it cook uncovered for approximately 2 hours

After the initial 2 hours, add drained kidney beans and continue to simmer for an additional 30 minutes

If you prefer a thinner consistency, add an extra ½ cup of water. For a thicker chili, create a cornstarch slurry, mix it in, and cook until it thickens.
