Why You’ll Love These Cute Spring Snacks

  • Simple and quick to make with just 3 ingredients
  • No special skills required — perfect for kids to help out
  • Great for Easter baskets, spring parties, or edible gifts

Ingredients

  • 72 snap pretzels (Snap pretzels work best because their square shape holds the melted chocolate without spilling over)
  • 72 white melting wafers (candy melts)
  • 38-ounce bag pastel blend M&M’s (you’ll need about 500 candies)

How to Make Flower Pretzel Bites

Preheat your oven to 250°F and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.

Arrange 36 pretzels evenly on one of the prepared trays. (If this is your first time making these, start with smaller batches of 12 to make assembly easier.)

Place one white melting wafer on top of each pretzel.

Bake for about 2 minutes, just until the candy melts are softened — not fully melted. Keep an eye on them, as they can melt quickly.

Once softened, immediately press one pastel M&M in the center of the melt, then surround it with 6 M&Ms in a different color to create the flower petals.

Repeat the process with the second tray of pretzels.

Let the pretzel bites set at room temperature for about 20 minutes or pop them in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to speed up the process.

Storage Tips

Store your Flower Pretzel Bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. If you’re making them ahead for an Easter party, they can also be refrigerated to keep them fresh for longer.

FAQ

Can I use chocolate melting wafers instead of white? Absolutely! Chocolate wafers will give you a different look but still taste delicious.

What if my M&Ms aren’t sticking? Make sure to press the M&Ms down immediately after taking the pretzels out of the oven while the candy melts are still soft.

Can I freeze Flower Pretzel Bites? Yes! Store them in an airtight container and freeze for up to 1 month. Just let them come to room temperature before serving.

These Flower Pretzel Bites are not only adorable but also a crowd-pleasing addition to your lineup of spring snacks. Whether you’re making them for an Easter party, a spring gathering, or just a sweet treat at home, they’re guaranteed to bring smiles all around!

Ingredients

  • 72 pieces 72 snap pretzels

  • 72 pieces 72 white melting wafers/candy melts

  • 38 ounce 38 bag pastel blend M&M’s

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 250 F and line two large baking trays with parchment paper.
  • Place 36 pretzels onto the prepared tray. (Keep in mind you will have to work very quickly. If you prefer, you can make smaller batches of 12 at a time.)
  • Then place one white melting wafer on top of each pretzel.
  • Bake for about 2 minutes, just until the candy melts are softened. You don’t want to bake it too long or the candy melts will melt completely and fall through the pretzels.
  • Once the melts have softened, immediately press one M&M in the middle, and then surround with 6 more M&Ms of a different color to make the flower petals. Continue making flowers with the remaining M&Ms and prepared pretzels. Repeat the steps with the second tray of pretzels.
  • Allow to set completely before serving, about 20 minutes at room temperature or refrigerate it for 10 minutes to speed up the process.

Notes

  • Half, double, or triple the recipe as needed depending on how much you’d like to make.
  • I used pastel colored milk chocolate M&M’s that are perfect for spring but you can use any colored M&Ms you like. Avoid using the peanut flavor as they are much larger sized M&Ms.
  • Instead of pretzel snaps, you can use pretzel waffles (rounds)
  • Do not bake for too long as the candy wafers will overmelt and fall through the pretzel. You want it to stay on top so that it holds the M&Ms.
  • You will have to work very quickly. If you prefer, you can make smaller batches of 12 at a time. If the melting wafers set before you finish making the flowers, you can pop the unfinished ones back into the oven until the melts are softened again. Do not place any finished flowers into the oven as the M&Ms can crack.
